You need to check out the The Last Poets. A group of beat poets with 6 black guys and a Latino. These guys are the papas of Public Enemy. They've got a song called "Ho Chi Minh", where they describe the Vietnam War as a conflict between the evil Uncle Sam(America) and the brave Old Man(Ho Chi Minh). It's a great song.
