This isn't really about any works of his, I just wanted to if he had a perticular ideaoligy??

It's pretty well known that he's an anarchist; or rather an anarchist sympathizer, since he believes in reform.

How do you achive anarchism through reform. But yeah I assumed it was something like that just confirming.

Yes, that or "libertarian socialist"

I was very distraught awhile back to learn about his reformist attitude.

He advocates decentralized democratic control over people's communities...I'm just not sure how he would say we should get there.

Regardless, he's definetely a good author and lampoons American foreign policy and economics like no other.

Yeah very true I'm reading hegemony of survival at the moment. Isn't that him in your avitar if i remember correctly what the interveiw with him on the RATM DVD I loned to my GF.

Yeah, as everyone else has mentioned, Chomsky self-identifies himself as an anarchist.

To address the issue of anarchism and reformism, I would point out that Proudhon, the father of anarchism, the man who coined the term "anarchism" as a political philosophy, was also thoroughly reformist. So I think it might be possible to have reformist tendencies and be an anarchist.

God I hope I haven't opened a can of worms...
