This is pretty freakin' crazy.

Moving pictures shown in paper-thin screens embedded in newspapers and magazines could signal a new revolution in publishing and broadcasting.

German electronics company Siemens has unveiled the new technology which makes it possible to place graphic displays onto paper or foil.

What an age we live in :P

I doubt it will change the print media much though. You could have breaking news banners in each paper but there's a limit to how many analysis and opinions pieces you can churn out for an edition. And of course it depends how expensive the process is.

Still, imagine walking past the local cinema and seeing the posters change :o

Thats really more of fault of the market, not technology.

Actually it's a political issue, not an economical or technological issue. Providing everyone with clean water is not technologically impossible, nor would it cost too much, there's just a lack of political will to do anything about it.

Besides, this is offtopic.

Great.. it's just one more way companies can agressively advertize to unsuspecting consumers. I'm so sick of this crap.

Ah yes, but unlike pop-up windows you can tear them out and throw them in the bin :)
