I finished reading The Autobiography of Malcom X. It is definitly one of my new favorite books. Totally in my top ten books of all time. It was really nice to read about the life about one of the most important figures in the struggle of the afro-american. I also learned a lot about Islam which has created a new interest for me in the religion.

To those who saw the movie, read the book also. You get more detail and learn a little extra more when you read it.

I read the book my senior year in high school and I loved it. I really liked Ossie Davis' euology also, and it made me real sad when I heard Davis died recently. I'd recommend the book to everybody, especially if you think all Malcolm X said was "kill Whitey". There's countless reasons I admire Malcolm X, I've got a poster of him on my wall.

I liked the movie, it was accurate I thought, I don't expect movies to be 100% accurate anyways, just close enough.

amazing book, really changed my perception of the USA (i dont lvie there, never looked at its history). Also sheds light on many many problems and how they were caused.
I also liked the way it was told, a "stroyline" mixed with ideas.

I personally have mixed feelings with Malcolm X because he was still partially racist even after his experience in mecca the second time. But either way, the part where he talks about the Washington March Protest is very true. It was suppose to be a violent revolt until officials heard about it. Then it turned into a "peaceful protest."

Malcolm X autobiography is probably in the top 3 best books I ever read and I think every person at least in the U.S. must read it
