I don't mean small-time undergound bands (though if anyone knows any good ones, please tell), I mean music from big, more or ess mainstream bands and artists for free does anyone know if there are any websites that do this? I'm sure there are a few, but not surprisingly they don't show on google.

Can anyone help me?

My favourite is the boss Sounds Jukebox.
However, the songs on there are streamed & can't be downloaded.

I used to have something called 'Ares' - it worked fine, hassle free. Also, my friend uses something called 'Bursar'

Just download limewire and use that to get any music you want.
