Poverty and Unemployment Down significantly in Venezuela in 2005 (http://www.marxismonline.com/modules.php?name=ForumNews&id=401)

Venezuela’s National Institute of Statistics (INE) says that poverty will drop by 8% points by the end of 2005, relative to the previous year. Similarly, unemployment dropped 0.6% points, from 12.1% in August, to 11.5% in September of this year.

Well this is good to see. I dont know if unemployment is falling by enough though. 0.6%, but the world economy is expiriencing a slow down just now.

The number is still high. No wonder there are so much support for the reformation. Even 8% is pretty high.

0.6% in a month is good. Although it's still too high nationally, show's we are on the right route though.

Has anyone got any figures for unemployment and poverty since Chavez came into power?
