Educate the Masses
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The world is not yet ready for the communist revolution.

Why?
Because capitalist society teaches that communism is ‘evil’ and ‘does not work’ in a desperate struggle to keep its own belief system in place.

The truth is being held from the people.
It is time to give it back.

The Revolution will only occur if the following happens:
1) People become aware of the teachings of communism
2) People become aware of their social class
3) People become aware of the exploitation they suffer

It is our job as communists, Marxists and members of other left-wing ideologies to educate the masses, to spread the words of Marx to those who need to hear them the most.
So that they too will feel the desire for the revolution, like we do.
So that they too can believe in a better world, like we do.

Do not fail to remember that people across the world preach against our beliefs every single day.
Do not fail to remember that our communist states have been attacked by the capitalist all of their existence.
Do not fail to remember that our communist heroes have been murdered for their beliefs.

And do not fail to remember this, comrade,
It is because they fear us, that they preach against us, attack us and kill us.
It is because we can make a difference, that they fear us.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It is because of this that I propose that we create an organisation with the sole purpose of educating people with left-wing ideology. We shall break the lies of capitalism that restrains them and let them know the truth.
The organisation shall act in branches for each regional area. What is taught should have agreed basics but after that, each individual regional group should be able to teach the branch of the left that it democratically decides to.
There should be no leaders, only liaisons to keep the branches together. Where a regional group does not exist, any leftist may create it.

We must Educate the Masses before we can change the world.

We should not use the name communist. We should use a name that carries a similar meaning but bares no stigma. Perhaps you should call your organization the People's Defence Group, and begin taking some ideas out of the play books of Johnny Appleseed. Tour around the state and at every town you stop in try to organize a mass meeting. Use everyman language so no Proletairn or bourgise, just working man, rich man. At the end of the speech ask for input from the audience. Plant the seeds of discontent!

Its times like this that I wish my knowledge of communist writings was more encyclopaedic so I could throw out a handy quote.

Class conscientiousness will develop over time as the material conditions lend themselves to it. In other words preaching communism is a waste of time unless people are ready to listen. That said, this can’t do any harm and might even open a few eyes as to the true nature of communism.

lol. Well, I posted this here, to see what people think. Wasn't expecting alot of people to pay much attention to this post but anyway...
In reply to hastalavictoria, we'll have to decide on what things we want to educate people with. As has been brought to my attention by a number of people I've mentioned this to, Marxists/Communists/Lenninists/Trotskyists/Stalinists/etc will not all agree on what to teach. So I think we need to stick to things that each group can agree on, just have to work out what that will be.
We can make some handouts for people, perhaps start a website and communicating over the web will be the best way to run this organisation if we can get it off the ground.
In reply to Le People, this is just a proposal so far, and the name of the group is still up for discussion. If everyone puts forwards their ideas, then we can have a vote.
Here are some things that need considerations
1) The Name of the Group
2) The Basic Beliefs of the Group (I think we should have stuff like the revolution, how communism is a better way to organise society, how people are being exploited, etc but allow people to adopt whatever branch of leftist thought that better adapts to them, so perhaps address each branch of leftism and let them decide their beliefs)
3) How it shall be organised

If you support the idea of this organisation, please state so and add me on msn messenger if you have it, '[email protected]'
Decisions regarding the group must come through majority opinion, I'm not deciding everything - that would be wrong - we must come to decisions together, in unity and for the people.
Thanks for comments so far, comrades :)

A random thought. Worth considering? I'm not sure but here it goes...
Perhaps this group could be a charity, in the sense that it can collect money to donate to public schools. Some schools in the UK and I'm sure also in other countries, need new books, new equipment, etc despite being funded by government. If our organisation was to be seen to help communities, maybe we'd get more media attention from which we can praise leftism. Also, perhaps give out leaflets to schools we donate money to, not to children under 16 though. wat u think?

I was talking to a fellow comrade earlier, and I think we kinda came up with two main things that all leftists can agree on.

1) We must show people how capitalism exploits people. The flaws of capitalism, etc.
2) We must show them hope, the hope of equality and a classless society.

I guess we should make leaflets and such on that. A website would be useful, but that's going to cost us to get a proper domain name, so perhaps we should leave that for now.

We just need to educate people where ever we go, at college/school, at work, and so on.
A definate starting point would be to have material to quote from and material to hand out to people.

What do you think? Oh, and suggestions on a name?
