I got terriorism and war out by howard Zinn the other day, I had read like the first few pages on the bus going to school after finishing another (I don't ussally read on the bus but i wanted to read this one), then i lost i t at school, now I'll have to pay the library for it damit, I just thourt you guys might like to know.

worst experience with losing a library book i've had:

a coupla years ago while i was still in high school, i got a university library card for $50 per year + $100 deposit which i'd get back if i didnt lose any books. one day i borrowed a book called i think 'my little orange tree' or something which was translated from portuguese. i loved it. so much so that i talked about it non-stop to everyone, and eventually my then boyfriend made me lend it to him [despite him not being much of a reader]. anyways i was a lil reluctant but i handed it over.

within 3 weeks he'd lost it. and so i had to pay a $110 fine - so i thought. when i went to pay it though turned out they'd just recently changed it so i had to pay $160 instead, or buy a subsititue for the library. being a kinda rare and non-english book, i couldn't find one, and to order one in from overseas would cost around $160 anyway with postage and whatnot. so i paid $160 up, and then didnt get my $100 back at the end of the year.

fucking $260 cos my stupid boyfriend was careless.

and he didn't even read the fucking book!

don't think i've ever lost a library book. libraries are great, they have what the internet doesn't. hee hee.

That's nothing.

I have three books from the library out that I've had for over 9 years. Two I've lost (they were about the U.S. Marines, I think) and the other I still have but badly damaged and written/drawn on, it's about USSR spies.

I imagine I own those bastards some $50+. Maybe even more.
