I was just looking through my RATM "renegdes" album insert, and it mentioned writing messages on money, like "Burn me" and "You are not a slave."
I was thinking that this is a good way to make people think about the system and how to change it. It might not make a huge difference, but even one person makes a difference.
Even though it is a federal crime in the USA, I think I'm going to start doing it, and I encourage others to do so as well.

yea, I do that from time to time as well. I usually quote fight club "you are not your job"...etc or "Do not let this control you" stuff like that. I do not know if it will change anything but, it can not hurt ya

Once I found a 10 Arg pesos bill with the following message: "I'm your God"

We could put something like I'm the Axis of Evil :-)

Yeah its great doing that stuff.

On our notes in New Zealand we have the Queen of England on the 20s which is good, being the most common note, so I blank out the eyes (sex pistols style) and draw a red or a black flag above the Beehive (parliament) depending on what vivid i have at hand.

Plus I write quotes like: "Overthrow Me" coming from the queens mouth, or "revolution is the only solution" and the "you are not a slave".

I worked in a shop and on my last night i wrote on heaps of notes, this guy gave me weird looks after reading "power to the people", quite funny as he was singing along to "anarchy in the UK", fuckin hypocrite...

Uh, there was a thread in chit chat about this. I think I made it, in fact. I especially like "Rascist" and "Slave Owner" coming out of Lincoln and Jefferson's mouths on U.S. bills. Also, slogans from fight club and quotes make good things. uh...oh yeah, write on the side with the president on them, that way vending machines won't accept them.

That's a really good idea. I don't think it's a crime to do that in the UK

Money belongs to the government. It would not shock me if it was a crime to destroy/write on money, but how are they going to find out?

"How does a slave and a proletarian differ?"

"A slave is sold once. A proletarian must sell himself daily, by the hour."

on the topic of it being against the law to write on money, I don't think that the FBI will be knocking down your door to arrest you if they discover that you guys have been drawing little hammer and sickles on your lunch money.
