I'm a Leftist from Iceland.

Leftists are pretty active within the teenagers but many of them are just wannabes that think it's cool to be a leftist. I'm not one of them. I've been a leftist for a long time.

And I'm 16

lol

Anyways, thanks for the welcome.

And the working class in Iceland. Well being ripped off by the Oil companies, a lame Schwarzenegger-wannabe might become mayor of Reykjavik and the Prime minister is unable to smile, so I'd say... We've been better.

Welcome!

My opinion on students and communism (I am a student after all),

The role of students in a revolution is just as important as the role of the peasants and the working class. Students are the vanguard of a generation and are leaders for change. They are the most ardent supporters of progress and class-consciousness.

Iceland is actually warm Matthijs, because of geothermal heating. I've heard people even go swimming in the dead of winter there.

That would be the hot springs/wells.

You know the Immigrant Song with Led Zeppelin?

Almost all our pools are outside pools. In Reyjavik we don't have any pool that is completely indoors.

And yeah, people are bathing...naked...in the middle of nowhere... in freezing winter...

And no, we don't live in snowhouses.

Welcome! I'm new here myself, but we're sooo far from each other, I'm on the other side of the world in Trinidad :P

And I abhor the attitudes of some of the younger leftists as well, it's just a phase for them in their rebellious years.

LOL @ the snowhouses...nah I heard about the lovely hot water there and the volcanoes thanks to the mid atlantic ridge. Iceland sounds like a lovely country, I want to visit there one day.

By the way; Is "Heya", meant as "hey ya" - the catchy-but-totally-brainless hit by 'Outcast' or as the way hill-beelies and redneck's greet - "Heya"? :engles:
