1.For Instance he used the jewish people as his personal scapegoat for the loss of the first world war fear that they were trying to destroy germanism and bring about a collapse of german society. Hitler had the ability to convert even a non believer into his party due to his strong oratory skills and inflamed nationalist speeches. his fame and influence skyrocketed with the addition of herman Goering (the last commander of the famous richtofen squadron and also a pour le merit medal holder) Germany was very nationalistic at this time war vetrans from the first world war especially ones who held the coveted pour le merit were considered hero's. Hitler's abortive beer hall putsch and consequent media coverage of that event at his trial gave him the stage to demonstrate once again his fine oratory skills german's all over were impressed with his plea of Guilty(many others who were put on trial tried to plead innocent so that they could get off lightly)Hitler was made out to be a hero fighting against the "october criminals" the corrupt and despotic goverment his stance on communism also gained him respect among the german people.Hitler also knew how to exploit the fears of the german people with the depression especially hard In germany people were desparate for someone to restore german prosperity Hitler used the fear's of the german people at that time ex-his assertation that international jewery was behind communism and that it would destroy germany and make them slaves. The french occupation of the ruhr(the germans main industrial heartland)

2.when Hitler came to power(january 1933) and within a few years of this time period he had restored the german economy taken them out of the depression one of his first acts was to stop all war reparation payments this increased german admiration and respect for him with this and the buildup of germanys armed forces the fatherland was now a superpower and prospering again theaters monuments and art was flourishing in germany it seemed to be a golden age the 1935 olympics (which was used to promote nazi propoganda and so the people could take pride in nationalism) was an example of the new germany's status in the world with everything going right the german people were eager to accept nationalism and hitler as their saviour.

3.People who did not cmply with the fuhrer usually ended up being taken in for questioning by the gestapo many of these people were political opponents dissidents or those that were presumed could cause problems in the future (these people were usually sent to dachau) at this time though there were not very many people who didnt cooperate with Hitler nationalism and "volunteer spirit were high the majority of the german people didnt hesitate to turn in people for subversive acts against the state no matter how minor german morale and spirit ran high until the war began to turn against them(1943) when german defeat seemed assured it only made Hitler's policies more outrageous the nazis grew more unpopular and their support faded many of his generals turned against him some plotted on his life(1944 the wolfs lair bombing) of course this had a detremental effect as the attempt on Hitler's life disgusted many germans and increased sympathy for him.

Hitler was my last assignment of Terrorism unit, now I'm studying World Population, much easier, but both are interesting :) I love Social Studying!
