View Full Version : Does God Not Exist Throught His Own Logic?

This is an interesting idea that I read about in the Hithchikers Guide to the galaxy series. If there is a reason God exists, than God doesn't exist, because he insists that through faith alone you can see his existence.

I think its funny, and I'll be sure to use it in my debates.

I have yet to understand immaterial logic.

In Hitchiker's Guide, though, the existence of proof for God's existence, the Babel Fish, was therefore proof that God, who wouldn't provide any evidence for his existence, didn't exist. We don't have anything like that here.

Well the fact that we exist. Most Christians will say things like "How could we be here without God?"

But we have handy material explainations to shut them down when they say that, so we go with that, as they require fewer unproven assumptions.

You're forgetting that religion and logic rarely intersect.

However, lets assume that someone started a cult that did not require that God require faith. They simply say, "God exists, get over it, but we won't provide proof, you can see it for your self", and they point around.

This God does not fall to that arguement as it is based on the proof of the Babel Fish (the thing that is complicated and could not have come around by chance alone).

Inteligent Design people, they claim what that a God (though they call ita designer, we all know what they mean) exists because things are too complicated. Often they are Christians who also have the faith bit. Then you can hit them with the contridiction.

That's why it's a joke.
