I certainly would like for Mumia to be innocent, but this site seems to have pretty overwhelming evidence...

If any experts on the case would like to step forth and rebut it for it, that'd be cool. No "bah, just racist nonsense" please, that doesn't help me.

Well Daniel Faulkner is the officer who was said to be shot and killed by Mumia so of course it's going to be against his case for innocence. Of course you have got to look at both sides of the story and decide which one you believe is true.

With Mumia there is also not only the "evidence" that has landed him in jail but the fact that he was a victim of COINTELPRO because he was a Black Panther and member of the MOVE organization, both which were victims of government suppression.

I think in the back of Live form Death Row there is a essay written by Leonard Weinglass, Mumia's attorney, which breaks down the trial and the evidence and the night 12/9/81. Pretty good stuff.

i find it sad that for Leonard Peltier the prosecuters have even said his innocence but he is still in jail for almost 30 years

Leonard is another political prisoner, along with a list of dozens of others, who have been falsely accused and should be released. If I'm not mistaken Leonard was going to be pardoned by Clinton on his way out of office in 2000, but he opted to use the pardon on some corporate lackey instead.

another site against mumia, the way i see it, two different stories, it's which one you see more credible and truthful. some of mumia2000.com's information can easily be proven wrong, the case supporting mumia has more actual facts. fuck our 'justice' system. when will we see JUSTICE?!

what does that have to do with anything?...theres no white cop killers in jail?...come on now...and how have they always been racist?...look at history...America was 90% of the time a leader in civil rights...

Always been racist: Genocide of American Indians, slaves, segregation, COINTELPRO, Jim Crow. I mean do you need anything else. The founders were racist and the country was founded of the blood of two different races. Next to freedom of speech and "we the people" is the underbelly of American society which is racism towards people who aren't white.

So what?

I mean, just because black people have been arrested wrongly, does not mean that this one has... only that it's a likely possibility.

I mean, okay. Let's review the evidence. Mumia has a .38 gun. Mumia sees a cop beating his brother. Someone shoots the cop right when Mumia would have been able to. The bullet found inside the cop is fired from a .38 gun.

What the fuck do you think happened?

The evidence is stacked against him. A great man, but a cop-killer nonetheless.

Hampton

Even if you believe the evidence against him is true and not fabricated there are things that went on in the trial that should grant him a new trial. Mumia was denied the right to represent himself and was appointed a lawyer who was later disbarred.

Mumia was prosecuted by a DA who was later reprimanded for withholding evidence in another trial.

The judge, a Mr. Albert Sabo, who is a life member of the Fraternal Police Order and has sentenced more people to die that any other judge in America. Sabo wouldn't allow Mumia to defend himself because his dreadlocks made jurors "nervous."

There was also the jury selection process in which Mumia was barred from asking potential jurors because his questions intimidated them. Out of the jury were a man whose best friend was a Philly cop who was shot on duty, also an alternate juror whose husband was a Philly cop.

Mumia was also played out in court in front of the almost all white jury as being a radial black militant black man who at the age of 16 was a member of the Black Panther Party and writing their newspaper as well as being a supporter of the MOVE organization

In 1978, Philadelphia Mayor (and ex-police chief) Frank Rizzo blew up at a press conference, threatening what he called "the new breed" of journalists. "They [the people] believe what you write and what you say," said Rizzo, "and it's got to stop. One day—and I hope it's in my career—you're going to have to be held responsible and accountable for what you do."

What did Mumia try to do? It is my belief that he only did what most Black Panthers tried to do before the FBI and CIA crippled their group. And that was tell the truth about the government and to get out to the people the struggle that was going on in cities like Philly and other places where the police were not looking out for their protection, but only protecting the interests of the few.

Oh, well I'm completely 100% convinced that he's guilty now, thanks to you comment. I guess it really is "case closed" - just because you said so.

You don't think I've heard all that shit before? I was one of his biggest advocates.

Mumia was denied the right to represent himself

Untrue. (http://www.danielfaulkner.com/Pages/MYTH9.html)

The judge, a Mr. Albert Sabo, who is a life member of the Fraternal Police Order and has sentenced more people to die that any other judge in America.

All 31 trials were jury trials, where a jury convicted and sentenced the accused - not Sabo.

There was also the jury selection process in which Mumia was barred from asking potential jurors because his questions intimidated them. Out of the jury were a man whose best friend was a Philly cop who was shot on duty, also an alternate juror whose husband was a Philly cop.

Sorry, you're wrong again.

http://www.danielfaulkner.com/Pages/MYTH6.html

Mumia was also played out in court in front of the almost all white jury...

He had a fair representation in the jury selection process.

Exaggerated so much it's not even funny.

Conclusion? Guilty as charged. It pains me to say it, but the truth must win out.

a professional hitman has admitted to killing Daniel Faulkner, but he was not allowed to testify, they won't even allow him to be cross-examined on his testimony. I have audio files of Arnold Beverly reading his own confession, he explains how Mumia is innocent and the victim of a police shooting himself. I also have Arnold Beverly's official testimony to the courts. I don't understand how anyone cannot beleive in Mumia's innocence. I will gladly send these files anyone who asks.

A videotape was shown from a flat bed truck at 13th and Locust Streets, the site where Abu-Jamal's arrest took place 20 years ago on Dec. 9,. The tape allowed everyone there to see and hear Arnold Beverly, a hit man for the mob, confess that he had killed Daniel Faulkner, the police officer Mumia was convicted of shooting.
