I'm not sure. On the surface it seemed nice enough a "Jew" befriending and trying to save a "Nazi". But was there a hidden message in this book? Not trying to be a conspiracy theorists but come'on don't you kind of agree, that there may be an inuendo? :P

I read this book in like sixth grade. I only remember myself and the rest of my class hating it. I don't even remember what happens. Just that they send nazi prisoners to the town with the girl.
