I am new here and have read some threads where people are mentioning the inherent flaws in capitalism. I am no economist so i dont really know exactly what those are. So i am very curious to know what these flaws are.

To be short and simple in capitalism the rich get richer and the poor get poorer and nature gets the short end of the straw too.

that seems so simple... i kind of feel dumb now, but are there deeper flaws, that could say potentially bring down a whole society over time.
while the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer could do it i guess, that doesnt seem that likely to me that it would take down a whole society. any additional flaws would be appreciated. Ive started to despise the american system and im trying to put my finger on exactly why what is behind those things that cause me to despise it

Read "The Principles of Communism" by Engels, very short, but will give you quite an idea why:

The main flaw of capitalism is exploitation. The wealth of the owning class comes from the unremunerated labor of workers. That's Marxist economics in a nutshell.
