Often atime i've found myself at an internet cafe, or library, or public use network. There always pretty fast, but they're terribly censored. this could also happen on a campus or high school. These censors nearly always block Messageboards and Flash games which can be quite a pain. Their is a way to elude these Fascist censors, and that is proxies :D

CGI-Proxies
CGI-proxies are very easy to use but won't always render pages well. the way you can find these, is by finding a good one before you go to your censored spot, or try and find one there on google. a search on google would be "Cgi-proxy" most of htese site are probably blocked by the censors, there achilles heel <_<.
Example:
Megaproxy (http://megaproxy.com)

Proxies
Proxy Servers, known as proxies, are excellent tools. They keep you anonymous and safe, they also get past censors.
So to Use a Proxy is actually very easy.
First off you have to find one.
Go to Google.com
--You can do the next step at your home or on the censored network, definatly good to do research at home on ones that work and are stable---
Now type in "**** proxy list"
the **** are your country, if you live near a large city I would put that in.
For example i live near NYC, so i usually put "NYC Proxy List"
if that doesn't Work i use "US Proxy List"
now just scroll down the list and look for promisings results.
A most promising result would be one that shows IP addresses.
and Ip address looks like this 256.73.92.3:80
The number after the ":" is your port number you will need to know this and the IP address later.
now to open a proxy list you found on google. this is easy-
next to the link on google there is usually something that says Cached, click that.
now you should have a list of some proxies...good Job.

NOw to using them

Internet Explorer
If for some reason you are forced to use that crap of software "IE" heres how to use a Proxy.

Go to tools
then Internet Options
then Connections
On a LAn you go to "lan Settings"
On the proxy server area of the window click yes for use proxy server
then in the adress portion type the Ip Address you got from the list
in our example it would be "256.73.92.3"
in the port number area put the number after the ":" in our case and "80"
Press OK

Now you are browsing through a proxy. Have Fun

i was gonna put a firefox guide but most public places don't use it, and most people literate enough to use firefox will be able to figure out how to set it up themselve its nearly the same as IE

Srry if its an unorganised mess
