Do you guys think there is even the slightest bit of truth to this shit? I'm beginning to suspect it's just some elaborate scare tactic to frighten Americans into unreasonable search and seizure, as they are now.


Guys, what if they actually have a whole polt PLANNED like this? All these elaborate terror scares, illegal proft wars? What if this shit is like 1984 in a while? It certainly seems like that. :(

On thursday, the local news talked about the backpack and stroller threat. they announce these things to make it seem like the security people are working hard and nothing gets past them. I went into the city a couple weeks ago and my friend's backpack was searched quickly before we got on the subway. The guy just poked a stick around in the bag really quick and let us go. It can't be too hard for somebody to sneak something by. the security is all cosmetic, it just makes people feel secure.

terrorism's not cool.. its not the citizens that are the problem its the corrupt government. things like the weathermen underground were good but random attacks on civilians isn't cool.

Agreed. The "He who the enemy of my enemy is my friend" policy is stupid. Am I glad the Iraqi population has taken up arms against the Imperialist invaders? Sure.
