Nice link! Some good guides there.

Does anyone know of a guide or a list or anything that would show me where I could get some raw materials like metal, decent sized wood planks, etc. ? I've been looking around for a while and I haven't come across anything.

Try skips at DIY stores, or skips in general are sometimes full of stuff like that. You could go to some old abandand house or something and recycle wood.etc.

There aren't many skips around where I live, nor abondoned houses :P I can try though. I can probably get my friends to take a look too, in their areas.

Thanks.

I live in the north of England. There are a few skips every now and then, but they're only there for a day or so...I haven't seen any abandoned houses, and I've lived here all my life.... so... yeah. No joy.

Kind of like a dumpster, a big fat metal container that junk gets thrown into, see em' at building sites a lot.
