The role of the Marxist

If Communism is "inevitable" (as some say), what is the role of Marxists in this process?

If it is inevitable, we can just sit back and relax, yes?

Marx said himself that history is what we make it, so one the hand its kinda deterministic, and the other it is what we make it, so marxists should strive towards this inevitibility so to say, hope that makes sense
