There is a new film in the works by Giuseppe Tornatore, the Italian director. If this film is as well done as the others he's directed, it should be great.
IMDB says it's scheduled for 2006. Hopefully it's still on track.
Plot Outline: The historical epic depicts the seige of Leningrad by the German army during World War II. The Russians suffered terrible losses but the Communists would not give up the birthplace of the Russian revolution.
