GHETTO REMIX LYRICS
AKON, MILES SOLAY, KOBA, FEATURING BOB AVAKIAN

BOB AVAKIAN:
Look at all these beautiful children, full of life and energy,
full of so much promise when they are young.
And see what happens to so many them. What this system does to them, as they grow a little older. What kind of system is this?

AKON:
Ghetto Ghetto Ghetto Ghetto living

MILES SOLAY:
enough cats got locked and shot
faces in the pavement wonder where the days went
stuff his hat with a lot of that rock
traces in the basement little ones played in
cops cockroaches cadillacs uh
dogs in the back and norweigan rats
life is a knife with a blade as breath
children hold it in in this wild west yes
through the sorrow and stress the mix and the mess
she believe we need the way out of this yet
get a grip on the gangs and god
just a little of the pain involved
what you praying to dude is preying on you
who are the ones with nothing to lose?
scars across his thoughts little woman can't sleep at night
our people want the sky in this life right

AKON:
Ghetto and eatin in the ghetto
Oh sleepin in the ghetto Oh ghetto
that's the life when your livin in the [repeat]

KOBA:
where we're taught to trust the Lord and not in each other
where for every liquor store is a church on another
block, where there's no umbrellas and the rain never stops
shots, sirens and the yellin' soundtrack of the spot
mama's pretty hands, pressed up to her face
just like his dad her son, refuse to know his place
but the weight in his heart, the weight on his waist
highway we ridin' down, if we don't change the lane
but the game stay the same, bloodsucker still the name
till this whole's motherfucker's ours, ours
that's why the hustlas hug the block, but it never hugs back
gotta trust in each other, now now
when it seems there ain't a hope or any purpose, HUH
rebellion's boiling just beneath the surface that we, ON
it's the heart and vision of the youth that's shaking the mold
will this dream crust over like before or will it explode?
in the in the

AKON:
Ghetto oh eatin in the ghetto
Oh sleepin in the ghetto Oh ghetto
that's the life when your livin in the [repeat]

Gunshots every night in the (ghetto)
Crooked cops on sight in the (ghetto)
Everyday is a fight in the (ghetto)
Oh oh oh oh oh (ghetto livin)

Oh sleepin in the (ghetto)
Oh livin in the (ghetto)
Ghetto ghetto (ghetto livin)

BOB AVAKIAN:
If you can say that for millions and millions of youth in the inner-city
crime is a rational choice, the best choice they can make,
what fucking kind of system have you got then!?
I say no more. No more generations of our youth,
here and around the world, whose life is over,
whose fate has been sealed, who have been condemned to an early death, or a life of misery and brutality.
Whom the system has destined for oppression and oblivion even before they are born!
I say no more.

Is Avakian just talking in the beginning and end or what? I'd find out for myself but I have dial up and not much patience.

Dope, this was already by far and away my favorite Akon track.

I've never heard of these MC's before though.

I wonder if Akon actually had a hand in this song, that would be very positive, considering how popular he's becoming, he's like a political Nate Dogg. :P

You know, that didn't make me laugh, I actually think Bob did a good job - what he said was good. 9
Just a shame that I hate the guy! :P

You know, I have heard it all -- often from cointelpro-style attacks: that avakian was fat, or bald, or sitting in luxury on the riviera, or had "fled" or whatever. And if you think about it, all this is "business as usual."

I have on my shelf an early european book on the Russian revolution, that casually describes Lenin as "a German agent whose real name is Zederblum" -- casually as if everyone knows its true.

Check out deeply what is happening here -- BA is leading a renaissance of communism, a new examination of the history of our last century, the experience of socialism, the road to revolution. For me it is exciting, and a very positive factor for revolution, and not just here.

Flyby,

You can defend your leader all you want. It's never gonna stop the weariness of rational people for "great leaders". As I understand it you are in the LA area correct?

If that is so, it should already be obvious to you (from the LA riots)that even the people there don't need a great leader in order to organize attacks on the system.

I completely agree. And when RCP supporters say things like:

BA is leading a renaissance of communism, a new examination of the history of our last century, the experience of socialism, the road to revolution.
it does lend itself to accusations of promoting a personality cult.

If all you care about are the ideas that BA promotes, then why don't you just promote that. Why do promote BA as a person?
