Comrades,

The recently formed Republican Socialist Youth Movement (aligned to the
Irish Republican Socialist Party) have launched our website at -
www.rsym.org

Currently there is little material on the website, but in the near
future we are hoping to expand by hosting and reprinting theoretical
documents which have been long out of print.

Any questions or criticisms are welcome.

Off the top of my head:

1. Could you elaborate, somewhat, on the relationship of the RSYM and IRSP? I mean, do they have structures in common? What degree of autonomy does the RSYM have? To what degree are members of the RSYM entitled to participate in the structures of the IRSP? Etc.

2. What prompted, in particular, the recent formation of the RSYM?

1. The IRSP and RSYM have somewhat similar structures, as the YM is based on the adult party, but the RSYM is still in its infant form. The RSYM have considerable autonomy from the IRSP and at the same time generous suppport from the party who arranged the facility in Wicklow for the innagural ard fheis (high meeting).

The membership of the RSYM do not participate in the IRSP unless they're of age to do so.

2. The need to have an organisation for those not old enough to join the party. To assist in the educational development of the youth who will likely become party members. Basically it's an attempt to create educational focus and move away from militarism, yet also avoid the compromises of groups like the provisionals.

Thanks for your interest!
