I'm not from Brazil either, but I agree with the anarchist. I think that even the burgeois have voted Lula because they are finally understanding they are going nowhere with their inhuman system.

Weel, I'm "Brasileiro" or how you prefrer, brazilian...
First of all, we are glad with Lula. When I say we, I'm not talkin' about the intelectuals comunists here. I'm talkin' in the name of the 54 million people wo vote him for president.
The Brasil has made a choice. And we have chosed for changes. Not all of us are so happy, 'cause Lula prefers to governate payin' the FMI and and "juros" (jures?) for the USA.
But, here in Brasil we can say that the peoples choice is more important than the president...
We have here a rich country (the number 10 in the world), but the problem is that all the money is controlled by an "elite", represented by banks and TV's owners.
God damm', we have about 25 milion people in hunger... with less than half dollar per day of rend.
The With House was waitin' some economic providences from Lula, but he creates a national found aganist hunger... It was for a president with balls to do this that we were waitin' !
We can see on the streets the people feedin' an Anti-north american feelin' (maybe this is not so good as it sounds, but...).
So, I repeat: The choice of the Brasileiros is more important than our new president.
More important than Lula is the this new perspective, were movements like MST (Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem Terra) are looked with a new prism.
I can say, like politic millitant, tha the dream of an Latin America were we see one to each other as brothers is slowly turnin' on truth.
Lula is preaperin' to send some "gasolina" (oil?) for Venezuela, to help Chaves put this crises away. It's Obvially (?) that north americans are gonig to make some several crictics on it, but now, the most important diference is that brasileiros are gettin' voice tho say "Fuck you north americans! We're going to do what we want, not what you want!"...
It's good to see people from all parts of the world puttin' confiance in us. Principally (?) our Latin American Brothers...
As Fidel has said in the poss of Lula, in january 1st:
"Lula is the hope of the region, he has a champion soul"
Lula and Fidel meet in 1979 durin'the aniversary of the sandinist revolucion...
But we can wait for everything from USA, when they has finished Iraq and maybe North Corea, I'm sure that the Fuckin' Eagle will look to us in Latin American...
But we are all workin' to make the people lern why and how to resist...
Um grande abraço para todos!
Viva Lula e a integraçao Latino Americana!
P.S.: Sorry about may poor english and some worng words...

I am Brazilian and I am very glad to see my country shifting to the left, personaly, I wouldsupport the PT over the Communist parties. Unfortunately, I cannot be there to see, but I wish all Brazilians luck and prosperity with their new and uncorrupt presidential administration.
Hey, Fabetz, I'm Brazilian, but I don't know much of what goes on in Brazil. I knew about Lula's huge victory, and that's great. But what do you mean by, "First of all, we are glad with Lula. When I say we, I'm not talkin' about the intelectuals comunists here." Wouldn't the intelectuals be happy with Lula? He's far more to the left than his opponents, do the intelectuals preffer the other leftist parties over the PT? Maybe the PCdoB or the PCB?
I also heard about the national commitee to fight hunger, has that already been enstated? Who is going to be the secretary of this commitee?
I also heard that Castro would be atending the inaguration of Lula, what did Castro say?

I read an article in the Socialist Worker that called Lula a neo-liberal bourgeious. Is that true?? I take whatever is written in that paper with a huge amount of salt, but they constructed quite a good argument, based on his policies.

"Lula, Hugo Chavez and I are making Latin America a better place" Fidel Castro said this Friday. I am glad Lula won the elections.

Victorcommie, I'm glad to see some Brasileiros here. We are like ants, man, we are in every fuckin'place! :)
"When I say we, I'm not talkin' about the intelectuals comunists here."
when I said that, I meaned that the people in general are happy. The intelectuals, off course, are really glad with Lula, 'cause they know marx, they have study and lots of graduations. But I'm talkin about the other 170 millions of brasileiros....
Remember Victorcommie, here we have a rich country with poor people, the biggest part of the population have no study, the badly kmows what is Comunism or even captalism, they are worried in get some food to stay alive to the next day.
The "Burguesia" (realmente nao sei como fala isso em ingês), who knows all this stuff, is rich 'couse they survive by the ignorance of the poor people, and once they have control of all midia here, all they do are anti-comunist propaganda..... well you know the rest.
An about the commitee to figth hunger it will start to work in january 10 or 11... I'm not really sure.
The governament will give some cash and houses to the poorest people, startin' in Pará...
The objective is not only finish hunger, but also provide oportunities to modifier the perspective of live of the people. For Better off course.
Castro was here, yes, and there's a famous picture (problably not publised in importants magazines out of here) of him makin' an "L" of LULA with the hands.... good picture :)
In january 2nd, Lula have launch with Hugo Chaves, and Dinner with Fidel and Frei Betto....
There's hope...
By, and, again, sorry about my english...
If we could talk in portuguese...

I´m really, really glad Lula is here, and hope he will for a looooong time!
I just read about how he, as one of his very fest steps as President, priorized abolishing of hunger in the country instead of buying military aircraft. This is just GREAT! But -even better- is the fact that the Brazilian Army Minister, José Viegas Filho, not only doesn´t argue with it, but SUPPORTS IT! This is how a country can get back to life from the ashes. This is the ONLY WAY: just CARING FOR THE PEOPLE!
As for your question, guerrillaradio, in my opinion Lula is much more radical than some media wants him to appear. It´s just that he, in the meantime, is trying to change things for better little by little, thinking what´s the best for the people, not the best for himself, and trying to use the tools the actual society provide him with. But if these tools aren´t enough, I´m sure Lula will do anything at his reach to make the living of the less "fortunate" Brazilians a life worth of living.
HASTA LA VICTORIA SIEMPRE!
