I believe all socialists and anarchists can agree that the tradtional theological thinking of churchs and the idea of hierarchy is harmful to development of a forward thinking society. But how about religions with little or no hierarchy construction with in the church itself? An example of this would be the Quakers, who don't have a preacher. Infact, most sit around and discuss God or the nature of society in candid detail and almost embrassing the very idea of true communism/anarchy; people gathered with no leader gather to discuss an idea. Of course, this idea being God.

...and what of the Antinomialists? People (without a church or even meetings) have a one-on-one relationship with God(s)?

I'll post more on this later. I have feelings on this, but I'm already late for class.

I more or less subscribing to the quaker beliefs, believe that spirituality is not a bad thing nor oppressive, I refer to spirituality because When i talk about religion i talk about organized religion, which is the home of oppressive ideas. I myself am spiritual, not too much but i am, and i still believe in historical materialism, It would be interesting to see what the Muslims, and other beliefs that are known within the church context have to say about this
