Many people told me it was bad. I thought it was better than average though the acting was at times a bit questionable. Many people compare the film to Se7en, which is superior in almost every way, but the two are far from clones in terms of storyline.

It was a horrible, stupid movie.

Makes you think twice about doing stupid shit though

I really liked this film. Did everyone (Australians) else realise that the younger guy in the room with the saw was Leigh from Recovery

wtf is recovery?

Recovery was a TV show on every Saturday morning after Rage on ABC in the mid 90s

imho this movie just uses the human voyeurism (shit, i even donīt know how the word is written correct in german^^). Itīs fun to watch, but only the first time, after that it is boring... (Whereīs the story?)

If you like overdone thrillers and gore, then it is a good movie. If you prefer something more realistic...not a good choice

There is no way those two guys could not have noticed that the old guy was still alive in that room.

Now they are making SAW II.

Is it actually worth watching? I keep hearing bad things about it, so I'm not sure if I want to devote the time to it.

Aren't you 18? How is that "too young"? Then again, my parents, from childhood, did not keep me from seeing violent stuff. Jigsaw is hardly a hero. He's just a jackass who decided to kill people because of their choice in doing drugs, considering suicide, and I think, in one case, simply being fat.

He did have a cool looking robe, though.

Was pretty good the first time, though its one of those films that I wouldn't watch again - not because its not good but because I cant be arsed :P

I thought it was a decent film. I haven't seen Se7en yet, but I've been meaning to. I just saw a trailer for a sequel to saw, the plot looks pretty similar

I've seen Se7en and wouldn't say it compares THAT closely to Saw. All horror/thriller, what ever it is, doesn't vary a great deal in my mind so comparing it to Se7en seems random to me, why not Scream? <retorical>

I haven't seen it yet, as for Seven, I thought the ending was quite predictable and I kept hoping it would end differently and not the way I expected. I find that disappointing. I mean "pride" it was in your face the whole movie.

Yet another sequel that will pale when compared to the first. I know I shouldn't expect anything else from Hollywood but it still seriously pisses me off.
