Now the Smurfs are generally considered to have a Commnuist message. So I was wondering what do people think of the possibility that Peter Pan and the Lost Boys represented Commnuism or Anarchism and that Captain Hook and the Pirates represented Capitalism.

If there is evidence that the Smurfs have a Communist message, then surely the evidence for "Peter Pan" is just as strong.

I couldn't find any articles on it, on the internet, using the search terms "Communism, Peter Pan". Other than articles about "Operation Peter Pan", which was carried out by the U.S. Government and the Catholic Church against Cuba. Though there are hundreds of Smurf articles, discussing the Communist links.

So I was wondering if anyone thought there was a link, between Peter Pan and Communism?

Well, Peter Pan is clearly a homosexual.

Wow. I just love how people try to find such political messages in bedroom-stories ;)

But I wager to agree: I don't know if the author knew it, but the stories bear a clear 'Anarchistic'-approach - Anti-Authitorian Communist, if you will. Libertarian, blah-blah, yaddah, yaddah. Against parent's, as the big-brother.

And Peter Pan wants to be "the next Joe" :P

Well, Peter Pan is clearly a homosexual.

I always thought he wanted to do the "dirty dance", with Wendy.

Well until the revolution, I have some time to spare. ;)

Thanks to both of you I got a good laugh.

I agree that Peter Pan is quite anarchist.
