Dear comrades,

After my friend came back from the chiapas in April 2005, after doing a documentary about the Zapatista's , we decided to go back and help the community in any way we can. The Zapatista's told us that they need clean water. And our waterproject was born ! Under the name Grassroots Projects we will go to the Chiapas in October 2006 to work for there for several months.

We will also travel to Guetemala to help the farmers against there struggle against Plan Puebla Panama ( http://www.noticias.nl/globalisering_artikel.php?id=244 )

We will pay everything out of our own pocket ( travel, food etc etc. ) and this summer I managed to get the money I needed for this trip. But we need alot more donations to realise this project ! If there any comrades that can spare some money , this is a good cause ! Everything you donate will go directly to the zapatista community.

Congratulations on all the work you've put together so far. I'm currently working with my group RAAN (http://www.redanarchist.org) on some Hurricane relief here in the states and I know how hard it can be to have to finance this stuff out of your own pocket. Your group sounds like it is really doing the kind of mutual aid work that our network tries to get people involved in. Do you have a particular ideology?

I'm unemployed right now but in the future I think what you're working on would be a very good cause for our network to support with whatever money we can get together. I hope we can stay in contact on this.
