Look, I'eve been reading alot of Age of Enlightenment styled Liberal readings, and I was thinking that maybe Communism just ain't here. Now don't get me wrong, I'm still anti-Capitlalist, but I was wondering if it's Kosher to mix communism with 18th century pre capitalist Ideals? Roussea makes alot of sense to me. Hell, Prohound seems like an age of enlightenment mix with marxism, which we all know is in the Romantic age.

A lot of the early forms of socialism developed out of Enlightenment thought, so I don't think there's any inherent contradiction although some will probably accuse you of advocating an outdated form of socialism or something like that.

Like me :P.

My problem with the liberal socialist writings of yesteryear, is that they seem way too "imagine if" instead of "let's do this".

See what I mean?

I guess there's something wrong with me. I'm tired of this dialect crap that never really does tell you what you'll end up with, as far as I know. But, to make sure, I am reading Hegel's Philosphy of History. I find the what ifers like More and such more full filling. I don't know.

I like the idea of a new age of enlightenment. Ive made a couple of posts on it but someone, not naming names in fear of this thread being trashed, deleted them.

It shows us what we are aiming for. In the darker times of the revolution when hope may seem to be lost or the pressure of fighting seems too much we will need to know what greatness will come out of it all.

Why we are fighting is just as important as how we fight and when we fight.
