i got this from steal this book but i thought it was pretty nifty
take some chalk and put your foot in the middle of the tread of and old tire and outline it. cut the tread out and turn it upside down. cut however many slits you want for the straps (people have different preferences with they way they cross, etc, so im gonna leave that part out) get innertubes for the straps and knot them. slide the through and have them pretty tight and now you have some cool sandals.
i doubt anyone on here has a real need to do this but if your bored...

In Chch theres a place you can get new sandals for 3 - 4 dollars. I don't think a tyre sandal would be neccesary.... unless they look cool. Post a photo! Quick!

maybe you'd rather support an old tire than some bourgeois asshole who exploited workers to make those 4$ sandals... :)

Aren't there steel wires in the actual tire that would make cutting a foot shape difficult?

What if they were bourgeois tyres? Yes, evil imperialistic tyres used in trucks designed to exploit the working class! :D
I hate sandals anyway. It's too cold in Christchurch town to be wearing sandals. <_<

Ahhh! I want some of those, preferably tall ones (summer is finally ending! :D ). How do I find good ones, cheap? Keep in mind I'm in the middle of the US and would prefer not to pay $50 UK shipping or anything... I think it would be neet t have S-steel in the soles to make them sharp object proof too... I need good boots.

Agreed! It's much easier to stomp fascists in boots. Also hurts the fascists more.

sorry, I don't know any us-shops.
i just know one shop here which sends stuff worldwide. the shop is fucking cheap, the owner is a commie and the have many differnet boots (goth stuff, normal boots, punkrock stuff etc.) but i wouldn't recommend to mailorder stuff from them because i got an email 20 minutes ago, the shop was raided and the owner will (probably) be sent to court for selling commie stuff :(
just because he sold shirt and stickers with smashed and broken swastikas
http://razzia.nix-gut.de/
i heard rumours that they have already begun to arrest people who bought things via mailorder.
well, but just ask some comrades, i think there are also some shops like that in the us.

You'd have to be mentally retarded to go to a demo in sandals.

depends on the demo
around here, you could go barefoot

Well if I'm correct this is a German store and I believe Germany has a very strict hate group law. And I think that you can't wera anything with a swastika on it, but I don't think they could arrest the people who bought the stuff. I admit that germany is a very bureacratic country and sometimes they have some dumbass laws.

thats absolutely ok, i didn't want to offend you. i just don't like sandals, flip flops and that kind of stuff. they alway remind me of one guy who came to a barbecue to ourt house and the smell made me nearly puke....
well, anyway: i just think people don't need feet, feet are ugly. personally i even wear socks in bed because i dislike feet.

yes, thats right. their justification is that anything that has got something to do with hitler, swastikas etc. must be pro-fascism. there are t-shirts with pictures of a beaten down fascist; a crowd of people is kicking that guy with a swastika on his chest while he is lying on the ground, above there is a line saying "smash fascism". well, but there is a swastika on that shirt so you got to jail. it is absolutely ridiculous, but thats reality.
edit: yes, it should be "feet" instead of "feed"

You mean feet; right? People do need feet; they couldn't currently travel without them.
feed are ugly. personally I even wear socks in bed because i dislike feed.
No; feet fit the streamlined human form quite well. If anything, ears and genitals are ugly but I don't really have a problem with any part of the natural human body.
I can't understand where this anti-foot idea comes from. I had a teacher that was afraid of feet and my ex-GF (who I like to forget) was afraid of hair

I was sad that I had no shoes until I met a man with no feet. Then I laughed at him. Hard.

yeah i was trying to make these. Its hard as shit. new tires are now meshed with steel so maybe you could do it back in the day but now its hard as fuck. and if you go at it with power tools where some goggles and glove cuz itll spark up. i decided to try to do it with tin cutters i finnaly cut directly through the tire but now its gonna suck to cut it in the shape of my foot. maybe ill find some bolt cutters, cut the shape jagged then sand the sides down

Wow; that sounds like a lot of work. You should make me a pair too... I could give you a little money or make you some jewelry/chainmaille ;)
I will actually have some tires off of my car when I finally get new ones...

if you truely want tires.........late at night wander around behind local gas stations........because.......those are the places people go to drop off used tires!.....
....but actually.......walk around from buisness area to shopping center.......look for the thicker rubber welcome mats they all put behind the stores........they ar much easier to cut and can be wraped around the foot to make a comfyer shape......
