Hello. I'm new here so here is my "I'm new here" post. I'm Mickalov and I was originally born in Moscow in 88'. I support communism and socialism but I support Bush and the war in Iraq, so I'm gonna be asking alot of Why? Questions while I'm here. Hope to learn some stuff and maybe in turn you can learn some stuff from me. Thanks for your time and don't flame me because I like Bush.

Welcome.
Would you mind stating why you support Bush or the Iraq war?
Most of oppose the Iraq war as we see aggravation by any capitalist country against another country as imperialism or the creation of a socio-economic power in the region. For instance, American corporations are taking over the Iraqi economy and Afghanistan is a military station for operations probably targated against Iran and China.

As opposed to many of your beliefs I do not beilve that Bush's soul purpose in Iraq is to promote corperate caplitalism and I dont belive as many of the Leftest put it for a "war for oil" In the years that we've been in Iraq not one barel of oil has left that country to America. I belive that Bush's intent in the war was to remove Saddam from power - not for oil or for a new market in which american companies would control. Now, ofcourse in all politics there may be some underlying benifits of a war in Iraq for the republicans, but I do not believe that is his true intent. As for afganistan - I can belive that it could be a military base of operations to strike against communist china, however, I again do not belive that this was the original intent of Bush - the government in power was corrupt, and the country was a breeding ground for terrorist, just as I belive Iraq was the same way.

It isn't his "soul purpose" (sic), it's one of several.
Bush, or more specifically his ideological mentors, want to create a regional ally from which to exert military control in the region, want to have a watchdog for Iran, want to set up , and, yeah, want to stip mine the place.
I belive that Bush's intent in the war was to remove Saddam from power - not for oil or for a new market in which american companies would control.
Strange, then, that that's exactly what's happening...
And besides why did he want to "get rid of" Saddam? He was such a close friend for so many years. What could he have possible done that deserved such a costly remedy? (when answering please remember the words Saudi Arabia and China)
the government in power was corrupt, and the country was a breeding ground for terrorist, just as I belive Iraq was the same way.
...and Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan, and Lebanon, and Syria, and Isreal. Pretty much the whole Middle East, in fact.
So what?

I'm not sure if that is true, but it's close enough. It is correct in saying that we have not and donot import alot of oil from Iraq. However, it is a mistake to think that simply because the US does not import oil directly from Iraq, that controlling Iraq's oil market would not have a huge effect on the global oil market.

The blatant truth is that Bush doesn't give a damn about you, me or any iraqi citizens and his only purpose in iraq is to provide a US stranglehold in the MidEast, as well as squandering their resources, he deserves no respect, given that China isnt communist

While i do not agree with your stance about bush i respect the opinion you have formed, despite alot of political criticisim surrounding bush.

"given that China isnt communist"
This technically isn't true, while China has become radically more right wing since the days of Mao it still remains communist.
