The Murder of Allende and the End of Chilean Way to Socialism. by Robison sanford-
Great book about the cronology of the events that led to the bloody coup and the reign of terror it was installed afterwards. It goes deep through the Popular Unity politics, a deep description of Allende's ideas, and what failed to accomplish the revolutionary tasks.

There's a good book called "Disaster in Chile" which goes over a lot of the developments leading up to the Pinochet coup. It's long out of print, but you can probably get it Inter-Library Loan or order it off the net.

Also interesting is "Fidel Castro on Chile" a collection of his speeches during a visit to Chile. Gives a snapshot of the state of Chilean politics at that time.
