I've been looking for some leftist literature to read, especially those having to do with socialism and democratic socialism. I've read the Communist Manifesto but that is all I have found. I plan to scour my school's library as soon as I get a list of books. Some authors would be nice as well..

Thanks.

Don't read capital just yet, unless you want to have a nervous breakdown.

I'll second that. For the benefit of your mental health you should only ever read Capital once.

Read The German Ideology By Marx, Socialism: Utopian and Scientific by Engels, The State and the Revolution by Lenin, On Condradiction by Mao. This should give you a pretty good understanding of Marxism.
