Today on the radio I thought I heard something about "Communist Guerrillas" in the Philipines. Did I hear wrong, or is there really a communist revolution in the Philipines?

I haven't heard anything about a communist revolution but there are communist groups over there.

I forgot to say I think they're actually Maoists. The New People's Army is the main militant group I think. I don't know much on the situation

there are two groups in the Phillipines, the revisionists (Marxist-Leninists) and the reaffirmists (Maoists), both are involved in a guerilla war and they do co-operate with each other. They number some 26 000 troops

Looks like after the victory (let's hope their is one) their might be some conflict between the two parties.
