View Full Version : Looking For A Name

Hi, I am just beginning to do music. I have been looking for a name to call myself. I have looked through philosophers, and the only names I have liked, and fit what I am about are pretty well known(Socrates for example). If anyone has any suggestions of a name, maybe pronunciation, and a little explanation about him(I am a male) would be great!

Call yourself Proudhon, he was an anarchist theorist.

Because I don't want to. Also, how many musicians "go by" their own name?

To the other post, yes, but I was thinking more like Ancient Egyptian poets, Aztecs, Myans, Africa, things like that. Thank you though for atleast replying to my post.

The best I could come up with is "Imbongi" which is the Zulu word for a praise-singer. They're basically people who do this nifty traditional spoken-word type tribute to a person (usually the king- ick) or thing (often to the beauty of nature).

Good luck though.
