I feel that this post can be placed on practice due to the fact that resisting authority is an essential part of being a revolutionary, every minute spent by the police chasing us around is another minute that they could be otherwhise spending beating some visible minority so i am interested in hearing your expereinces. i have had several but i will just go with my most recent.

ok two weeks ago, some freinds and me were smoking something in a school on the edge of my city when a cruiser goes by and flashes its red lights, stops then shines a floodlight kind of deal on us. So given the quantity of stuff we had on us we thought it would be advantageous to run. So we ended up running into the woods afterwhich the cops flashed all of their lights sped towards us got out of the vehicle and proceeded to chase us through the woods for a period of two hours! i decided to run with my more heavyset freind because i figured that i would only have to outrun him and not the cops due to the time it would take to restrain him. It was a very tiring experience but we did mange to elude them. I will tell you now there is no rush like beating the man.

I got chased by the police a few time's up at the G8 summit.

The first time I got chased by the police was at the G8 summit it was the day when the riot police were deployed in Edinburgh.
The metropolitan police went after our group because 1) because we were all masked, 2) we were wearing dark colors 3) because we were obviously an ‘Anarchist Hate Mob’ as the Sun newspaper portrayed the anarchists.
I think one of the riot police guarding the street tipped off the met police that we were a small isolated group. When the met police arrived they tried to kettle us in an ally but we managed to escape and headed to a pub for an hour before we tried anything again.

Another time the police tried to catch us; was when we were in the fields.
The barrios on the camp site I was staying at had split up into affinity groups to go out into the countryside to block the A1 motorway.
Our Affinity group compromised of me and my mate, 3 lifestyle anarchist, 1 French Nihilist, 2 French Anarcho-Syndicalist and one Israeli anarchist.
We set off into the fields with all the other affinity groups. The affinity groups had to split up in the countryside so that it would be harder for the police to catch us all.
The fields that we were walking through were all under a section 60 and private property (but that’s no problem for a communist like my self) so there was the possibility of us getting nicked.
Two hours into our hike the French start singing the ‘Internationale’ (in French of course) and I’m humming along because I can’t sing the Internationale in French. Anyway as were climbing over this fence to get into the next field 2 riot vans come past along a country lane, most of my affinity group ducked in the long grass but unfortunately I couldn’t duck so I just fell off the fence as quick as I could. Unfortunately the two vans saw us and stopped and reversed. Most of my affinity group jumped up and ran, we all split off together into a wood but unfortunately everybody got picked off by the police in the wood.
What was rather amusing was the French had fallen into a stream when they were running and were quiet soaked and speaking fast in French lol.
Anyway, the police caught us all and put us on the side of the road. We had to give them our names and addresses and we were all filmed so that they knew our faces. They searched our bags for anything dangerous and then they sent us on our way.

i have had lots of running experiances, but my favorite has to be the time threw a brick through the window of a starbucks. after the deed was done, i looked for a second (first mistake) and the cops seemed to be attracted to the sound of breaking corprate glass like flys to shit. so i broke down an alley way, only to come out on the other side of the street to see another cop, so i ran the other way. i turned left out of the alley and got chased down by the cops. i lost that night, but it wasnt all that bad just had to pay for the window.

Running from cops was a fairly regular thing as a teenager. I only run when I have a chance of getting away, and I've never been caught.

One time that comes to mind: Me and a bunch of freinds and aquaintances (about 15, all rather intoxicated), threw-up our hoodies and pulled-down our hats. We rushed into 7-11, and raided as much shit as we could. We all took off in one direction, and you wouldn't believe how fast the pigs were there!

They tried to cut us off but we all managed to slip into a wooded trail area behind some houses. The trail led to the local high school. So we almost get to the end of the trail, and we notice the police are flashing spotights up it. We all kept down as low and as quiet as we could. We eventually doveloped a plan. We slowly left in different directions in two's, and three's, every few minutes. A couple groups got chased, but no one got busted, biatch!

Most of the police leave me alone in life. I was 6 and some ***** called them on me for looking in her giant ass window, but all she had to do was close her blinds.

She just didnt like me. Trick. <_<

That cop showed up and I knew it was for me. So I walked with him to my apartment. "Hello Officer"

I've been watched over by snipers and "men in suits with cameras" at one march. So far I've never had to run.

Yes, but usually intoxicated. Once I ran from the police and was caught, but refused the breathlizer and I was 16 so all that happened was that I was taken down and I had to call my parents. But my most sketchie moment was when I was pulled over on traffic violation carrying a fair bit of Junk on me, however, I was just given a warning about driving too fast. Lucky

One time a helped a dealer escape the cops. It was fucking awesome.

A friend and I went to deliver a message to this guy - apparently the cops were on to him - and we ended up having to smuggle him out the back of his house and across three backlawns. He jumped in the back of the car and got down, and we took him to another neighbourhood. We were followed by someone for quite a ways, but we lost them (they followed us down several sidestreets; luckily I used to go to school in that area, so I knew my way around). We dropped him off with another friend in a driveway, and he took him back to our house. We got followed again - one car was headed towards us, and slowed down to pull a u-turn to follow us. We lost him though, and when we got to the house, split up in three cars. He was in my car, and I took him to a motel about 30 minutes outside the city.

There were no sirens or anything, but I know undercover cars when I see them.

Another time wasn't really a chase, but some a friend and I took notes and bricks to some church windows (this church is fucked up beyond belief; they had it coming), and some cops drove by right as my buddy hurled a goddamn cinderblock through the window. They quickly pulled into the parking lot, but we saw them coming, and took off into the crops behind the church property and jumped a fence to get back to the car. That was pretty fun, haha.

Taking him back to your house was probably not the smartest thing

I had quite a diffrent exprience, but a clash with authority is a clash with authority.

Me and my father where going down to the resevouir where he worked to fish, this was after 9-11 keep in mind, when we were stopped by two punk national guardsmen in a humvee and had all our stuff searched. How ever I will tell you searched is alight word they literally tore through our crap and our truck and than after that embarresment made us go home anyways.

I remember one encounter i had with the authorities (not the police as such). Usually i get away with stuff or dont do stuff myself that could get me in trouble but this one occassion was different.

I was at a house party about a year ago and there were about 50 people at least. Most were in the garden smoking pot but i dont do it so i stayed in the house a lot of the time downing vodka and whiskey. Then there were a load of gatecrashers, about 50 chavs. We all left the house in the hope that they would go off somewhere else. It didnt quite turn out perfectly as a chav threw a bottle at a guy on a motorbike. He just happened to be with a load of his biker mates at the time. They thought it was us so wen we got back they smashed down the door with the bike while me and a couple of other people who still knew where we were tried to fight them off. Luckily they went off because my mate who was having the party knew the local drug dealer who also knew the bikers. We got away with it i suppose. Then a police van turned up outside and we all got on the floor with the lights off and the music down, i was jumping around wanting a fight with the pigs but i was calmed down lol. The van went off and once again we were lucky. An interesting experience. Not the worst but funny nonetheless. Then when it came to people going home, dan the goon had one beer and was staggering around gillingham refusing a lift home  was so funny. the goonhead.

...you know realistically, if you're in an open urban area and you have more then a few seconds running distance between you and the cops...you're almost certain to get away if you make a full effort...and if there are fewer cops then there are people being chanced, no way are they going to get you.

They're fatter, older, and probably carrying more weight...just cause they're cops doesn't mean they're especially good at catching people.

I"m not very athletic at all but i've still always been able to outrun cops every time i've tried.

The other bikers were somewhere else i guess. His mates must have been nearby.

Aye, they all showed up and aye, they knocked down the door with the bikes. Its not impossible is it? Then when they all left some drugged up guy tried to get in looking for his daughter. The drug dealer guy threatened to smash his face in.

Its what happened!!!lol The crazy world of Chatham and Gillingham (brown town). Never heard of Chatham before? Crazy shit like this goes on every day. Luckily we live away from the harshest area but my sister is always down one estate near the high street. Shes seen well loads of shit, a mate of hers got a screwdriver in his neck, sounds mad and i didnt believe it at first. Its a harsh place to live if your alone on a saturday night.

Oh well.

I got chased by the cops on the labour day long-weekend. I pulled over and he gave me a simple warning in spite of my numerous traffic violations. I felt pretty good afterwards, seeing as how he got have revoked my current license and the next one I get as well.
So I guess that not all cops are bad.

11th October 2005, 16:41
No, but that is not an excuse for others to be bad ;)
Or most, that is. I have that suspicion, that those who ARE cops,
joined it to ruff people up - for a good reason, that is, 'tho they don't
seem to care FOR the reason, but the fact that they can do it with an
excuse. A.k.a. they don't get jailed for going at demonstrator's, etc.,

As for me, I haven't, but I've overheard someone talking about suggesting calling the police about someone who surely was me. When I sneaked away from the conversation I ran, does that count? :P P.S. Why help dealer's run?
