Your link doesn't work. Is the anarchist resistance the group you will be with?

I am coming independently with some comrades and will see what's up when we get there, providing that a couple tanks of gas is easily syphonable.

I was talking to RC last night and he said that UFPJ is allying with the Republicans
to join them there. I was pretty surprised to hear that.

Code Pink is also having a demonstration too.

My AG will also be with anarchist resistance.

UFPJ isn't doing shit with the republicans. I've been involved with the planning of this, I've been at consultas. UFPJ and ANSWER have come together to do joint actions. They have fuck all to do with the republicans.

I've never heard of this Anarchist Resistance network before. Pretty damn good if you ask me. Glad to see that people from revleft will be working with them :)

Yeah, they never do any actions outside of calling for blocs at major protests. I don't know what that's about...but now that they're working with a group from California maybe they'll get more active with direct action instead of just blocs.

A guy I met this weekend who works reguarly with crowds of 40,000 used his "visual reference" with the crowd and assumed there were atleast 150,000 marchers and demonstrators in the main march.

The bloc, I thought, was maybe around 200 strong. Plenty of good spirit and more than enough street medics, it seemed.

These are the pics that I took(well, the better ones anyway).:

RASH chris

There is video on the DC indymedia site, which supposedly includes some footage of the anarchist march. But I haven't watched it.

So did anything exciting happen or was it all just walking down a street?

The march looks pretty packed though. What were the responses from the politicians?

Well the liberal marches of course didn't do anything.

But the anarchist march did confront the right wingers who we could get to. The majority of them were at a rally protected by barricades and a line of riot police. But whenever they were encountered elsewhere they were kicked off the street.

The anarchist march was also able to make a few blockades with a dumpster or two, some newspaper dispensers, and a torn down chain-link fence. There was lots of graffitti ("fuck capitalism", circle As, CNT haha). Some rocks got off at an army recruiting station and at the police. But the bloc was broken up pretty soon after we started really getting rowdy.

I didn't see the bloc's actions reported anywhere. Not even on indymedia, which is severly disheartening. But the protest itself was huge, and I saw a few times where the bloc inspired the more liberal marches to join in for a little while.

But yeah, mostly just walking around in circles.
