They were truly brave to do what they did. I hope no-one in power attempts to scapegoat them for their acts of mercy.

If this goes public even more so than it is now (mainstream media), you can be SURE the pro-lifers will scapegoat them and bomb their houses.

Dealing with a grandfather who has (1) A.L.S (lou gehrigs disease) (2) Emphysema and (3) Alzheimers, I really support what they did and wish someone would comfort my grandfather into his end. I am sick of watching him suffer every time I visit him its worse, he doesn't know who I am, can't feed himself or walk, he can barely speak.

He is at a V.A. facility where he is being taken care of for free. All my family(conservatives) think "oh how nice the government is taking care of him in full" they think their doin us such a favor they fucking drafted him they should take care of him, because he started smoking in the army and a shockingly considerable number of people with Lou Gehrigs Disease were in the "Service of the U.S.A" So think about that.

Only if the Mail on Sunday gives out the Doctors involved names. Which they may well do, if the American Government pressures them.

Also whats the probability these Doctors get prosecuted?

I reckon its probably very likely that they will end up in a court room and having their characters assaninated. And for what, for giving a crap about the welfare of their fellow citizen? That seems to be a crime the Bush Government is certainly not guilty of.

I 'spose it's hard for me to say, "Yes, you did right in killin'em." but on the other hand - why should they want to live a little longer with a little more pain? Heh! Should be avoided, but if necessarily, as painless as possible - And it must be the last way out of it ;)

Thats a very brave thing to do. Also just so everyone knows massive od's on opiates like morphine and heroin arent painful.

Man, that's so sad. But in their situation, what was death but release?

It is far better to let them die in peace and fall asleep than let them die with some piece of metal sticking out of their stomach or something.

Acts of mercy that would be hard for any medical professional.
