Hi.

I'm the epitdome of leftism!

I'm a 20 year old bisexual living in Applachian Ohio. I'm going to a local University and currently majoring in Sociology and minoring in Theatre, though I may move to something like a High School history teacher instead.

My interests include writing (poems and scripts), politics, classic video games, ...furries..., sociology & history (both gimmies), rational activism, classic punk rock (as well as any good music, really) and as a wild card, cars.

Orginally.. Since I was about sixteen, I had always thought of myself as a Libertarian. I mean, things like welfare was only passifying people and with a socialist system, you'd make those tendencies worse.

Then, I decided to major in sociology, because sub-cultures have always fasinated me. However, the more information I asertained, the more 'liberal' I became. I'd stand outside and see the world for all it's injustices. Not only that but the ineffectiveness of the current Republican administration only disheartened me more so. I felt hopeless. I didn't want to sell out to this system I was in. No matter what I did, I was supporting something that was going to supress someone else. I finally realized we was living in a 'slight of hand' oppression, perpetuated by greed and our 'hot potato oligargy' (ie, two party political system) and passified by materialism and escapism. With this kind of thoughts lurking it my head, no wonder I dropped out of college. Twice.

At first, I was still covensed that their was other paths for which someone could take because I still thought that communism (or rather, state capitalism, as I learned later) wasn't the choice. My first attempt was to just become an altruist but then I realized that I need some level of 'selfish' nature, plus.. it's hard to pay for a haircut in hugs. [If you wanna good laugh, there's the site.. http://www.altruists.org]

Next, I developed my own pet theory on making things better. I called it "Fractionism", which I'm still mildly proud of. Under a Fractionist system, the price of nessisary goods changes from a set price value (like $40) to a percentage value (as in .01% of someone's bi-weekly income). I passed this theory around and someone eventually pointed out to me that the rich was still going to serve in their best interest. Instead of paying a higher price for food or electricity, they'd create a farm or use a back up generator. I was devistated.

As of right now, I'm finding myself more and more steeped into the ways of the Commie. It wasn't until rescently I heard that Cuba had democratic elections. Even now, I'm still learning more and more about socialism (in the Marx sense), expecially Trotskyism. However, most of the stuff I found on Trotskyism is 'mentally chewy' like trying to eat a dry steak... though I think I understand the gist of it. Feel free to explain it to me, though.

If you have any questions about me or just wanna shoot the shit, here's my three IM programs and my email.
