Someone has to explain this to me. I live in Los Angeles, where there is a large population of black Americans and hispanic Americans. Every July 4th (that's our national day of celebrating our independence from Great Britain, for those of you who do not know) there are fireworks and picnics. As you drive throughout the city, you can see this is the case with ALL Americans or all ethnic backgrounds. The black areas have red, white and blue picnics as do the hispanic, as do the white Americans.
So many on the left believe that one day, large numbers of people who like in the U.S. will welcome the end of the U.S. I haven't seen any evidence of this in 25 years of my happy lifetime. Outside of some of the Pacifica radio shows, no one talks of this, and most support the United States as an institution.
Why do so many on the left believe one day, millions of Americans will wake up and demand, based on their background, this area of the southwest U.S., that area of the southern U.S., x part of the northwest, and y part of the northeast?
Is this more real than I see, and am I sleepwalking, or is it a pipe dream of the radical left?
