I just want to ask that because i live in Finland and been discussions on that should Finland join to Nato. I think it sucks and most of finnish think also that way but the goverment and ex-president's are trying to tell people "how good it's gonna be" and blaa blaa. Bullshit. I think they are trying brainwash people and then some day we are in Nato. So what you think of Nato???

Warschaupact= pact of the army's of the followers of the USSR.
Nato= pact of the army's of the followers of the US.

If you ask me, the NATO is just a surviver of the cold war and isn't now used to protect Europa against the "big bad Russians" but for the "interrests" of the US. Otherwise said the NATO is the lil attackdog of the US.

NATO is a joke. Most Canadians i've talked to think so. I'd like to know where it gets its authorization to use military force. It doesn't authorize it in the Charter except (i believe) in defence of one of the party states. intersting -- bosnia hertzogovnia wasn't a party state and they still stepped in.

It is largely run by the US, as are most organizations. unfortunately my pussy gov't does a lot of what the us says. i really think nato should be disbanded but i don't see that happening any time in the near future

The NAVO is the little attack dog of the US and one of the few ways too join the western world is to join their organisations. A nation has to choose if it is going to starve to death or join the Western organisations. That's the case with the East-European country's who now are going to join the EU, Nato and other bullshit.
