After the hurricane the oil corps passed word around that the gas stations were going to be shut down by the police at 5:00 due to a gas shortege so there was a run and the gas stations rose the price to five or six dollers a gallon. did this happen to anyone else?

I've heard of prices as high as $5. But where I am nothing of the sort.

Well they were going on about $3 on the news here.i couldnt tell youabout petrol prices in britain.

it's just up to three dollars in my town.

Its lower now due to the fact that the republican gov has been worried he was not going to get relected so he signed a law telling the gas corps they can not raise the price.

I've seen it as high as 3.35 for regular at a truckstop in illinois. But near me in indiana it is 2.99 for regular.

These places that have it for 5-6 dollars are trying to ouge the public out of there money. People think that this is only the beginning of it so they go spend 5-6 dollars per gallonand fill their cars up.

Stuff like this can also have bad instances when petrol gets cheaper, and people go overboard with gas guzzling vehicles.
