From what I've read, these guys suck!
They're anti-Soviet, Pro-USA. To me they sound like Capitalist oil-merchants.
Your thoughts?

Yes, we must also weigh the fact that they do oppose the rather evil-doing Taliban regime.

in my eyes, my enemies enemy may not be my friend. just because the opposed the Taliban does not make them someone we should support. i remember reading through some Chomsky, in which he spoke about the northern aliance, where he said that the taliban rose to power because of the brutal nature of the northern alliance. they are nothing to rejoyce over.

But they are also known to be as savage and brutal as the Taliban except they're not so fanatically religious. One of their reported methods of execution is to cut someone right around the waste and roll their skin up over their heads causing the person (if they haven't already died) to suffocate in their own skin.

I am very sceptical of the Nothern Alliance, they have done a little since their rise to power but Afghanistan is still in a mess and will take a long time to sort out, I just hope America don't interfere again and make it worse, I don't trust Bush.

Im a afgaan
And i fuckin hate the Mujahideen, taliban, Al qaida, CIA, MI6, Pakistan intelligence service and the arabic because they have all one thing in common: destroying afganistan. What started as a feeling of revenge by a advisor of the american president evoluted into 5 billion dollar that would be pumped into afganistan in the shape of guns drugs and trainingcamps. Afganistan wasnt prepared on war when the war started and absolutly not when it came stuck between 2 superpowers and their followers.
If masood hadn't fought on the mujahideen side and wouldn't had lead the barbarics into victory but had fought on the good side. Afganistan wouldn't be in war for 23years. Cause masood was of all mujahideen commanders the best one he was responsible for the greatest victories.
If you look at afganistan the most ppl only look at 11-9 but no one looks at the history how the CIA trainend mujahideen wich evoluted into the al'qaida and taliban.
The american governemnt seeying what happend in afganistan cause of their axns. They didnt care. actually the Clinton administration wanted to go in bussiness with the taliban if the taliban would support and protect an oilpipe that went from a former sovietstate threw afganistan and then to a Indian harbor. So is this the "peacefull nation"of Bush that wants to invade Iraq cause of the dangeruos weapons that it has (and america too/america was the greatest developer of biological weapons/The CIA still develops biological weapons/just like the russian secret service/and they had both declared to stop with this)
Conclusion:
Both Masood was fighting the result of his own deed and the CIA is now doing the same thing.
Saddamn Hoessein said: Americas has planted the seed of thornplants and is now beeing stitched by it own thorn. In this he is right.
They are nothing but a bunch of ppl who had one thing in common: Taliban. Some ppl fighting for the sake of Afganistan but mostley criminals.

To get to bin Laden the U.$. allied itself with a bunch of war criminals and drug lords. The NA has been largely responsible for the drug industry in Afghanistan for many years and their main opposition in turning the country into a giant heroin factory were the Taleban. Bad people sometimes inadvertantly do good things, and people who hate bad people are not always good people. Don't let Star Wars or President Bush tell you otherwise, 'mmkay?.
The "Northern Alliance" is actually a makeshift confederation of the people who actually destroyed the whole country in the past couple of decades, while the Taleban only took over the ruins in 1997. Sure the Taleban were mean sons of *****es who kicked ass and didn't chew bubblegum, but so are these thugs in the so called "Alliance", and they're alerady killing each other.
Let's not be naive enough to look at this as a black and white issue, though unfortunately it's more of a black-black situation.
