In case you didn`t know a general strike is a strike in all or in the majority of the economic sectors. It`s the unions and the proletariat acting together, as class, to bring the country to a stand still. It`s a big thing.

There hasn`t been a general strike here in 14 years. The reason for this one is the violent attack (revision of work laws) on the rights of workers, some of which date back to the institution of democracy, by the right wing colation recently elected into office. Neo-Liberal pieces of shit. There were already several strikes today and workers seem informed, concerned and mobilized so high levels of adherence are expected.

It`s good to see the proletariat acting as one, makes u feel all fuzzy.

This great to hear!
In Portugal, you say? Tell us more on the subject. What do you expect the outcome to be?
