the israeli communist party - the democratic front for peace and equality - who has always presented a jewish-arab list to the knesset, decided to merge with the Arab Nationalist Movement, pushing the spot reserved for a jew from number 3 to number 4. now, it seems as if the party's representatives in the knesset will only be christians and muslims, with no jewish representation.

besides, a socialist party merging with a nationalist party mean betraying the very principales on which communism is based. now, there is no party representing the israeli radical left.
