Welcome Comrade! What part of D.R you live at? I have family living in San Pedro de Macoris. Man it seems like everyone over there cares about politics why can't it be the same here in the U.S.

This one.......
134 Prisoners Die in Dominican Republic Jail Fire
In news from the Dominican Republic, 134 prisoners have died in one of Latin America's deadliest prison fires in history. The cellblock where the fire broke out was so overcrowded that inmates were sleeping on top of toilets. About 180 inmates were living in a cellblock designed for 25 people. According to the United Nations, the Dominican Republic has the most overcrowded jails in the Western Hemisphere and that the site of the fire is the most crowded jail in the country. A representative of the Dominican National Human Rights Commission said of the prison, "It is hell on earth. It is unfit for human beings." The government has said the fire broke out during a fight among prisoners.

My friends: The real jail is Neoliberal capitalism which makes people go to Puerto Rico in little boats, and others depart this island legally throug work visas or tourist visas. And the others NOT SO LUCKY gotta stay here in this neoliberalism hell.
But the political parties and capitalists are not the guilty of this, but the voters who vote for the same parties over and over, the voters are capitalists indeed

I get what you are tring to say but you are wrong. The voters are not the capitalists they are just the sheep being herded by the capitalists.
With that said welcome to the boards, stay strong, and keep the strugle alive.

A capitalist is someone who controls capital, and extracts profit from the labor of workers, so there not actually capitalists. They are just not aware of the alternatives and how to reach it; and not class concious
It's up to people like you and me to educate folks, so they in turn can educate others! I'd like you to PM me if you could, I think we could do some work together.

I'm from Puerto Rico (I live in Las Vegas, NV now) and I concur that many of our Dominican brothers migrate to PR. I say stay and fight to better Hispanola. Including Haiti which suffers from the same neoliberal policies. How ripe is DR for revolution? Revolutionaries should try and get some support from Castro and Chavez to overthrow the elites. I'm not sure how feasable that would be.

They did. 8 comrades did a Granma styled invasion from Cuba years back, but it didn't work out for various reason.
We could go indepth on the Dominican situation, and I've wanted to before, but I'm not sure how many people here are familiar with it.
