His links are good.
I visit their site daily (In my daily links) and I read their more interesting articles.
As for books, these are HIGHLY recomended (By me of course):
Basic Economics by Thomas Sowell for obvious reasons.
In Defense of Globalization by Jagdish Bhagwati is again, obvious.
How Capitalism Saved America by Thomas DiLorenzo is a book that I found fascinating, though more biased and less fair minded than the rest I'll mention.
Capitalism and Freedom by Milton Friedman is a pretty short book. A good introduction to a lot of topics.
The Road to Serfdom by F.A. Hayek is a must-read, espescially for defeating socialists of all types.
Eat the Rich and Parliament of Whores by P.J. O'Rourke are EXCELLENT books, not just as capitalist literature, but also for their hilarity.
It's most important to cover all the bases: Basic economics, globalization, a response to socialism, and the history of capitalism (At least in America).
Those would be the ones I'd start with (Actually the ones I did start with).

Why do you need it? You might get sugestions that better suit your needs.
For general theory, pick up a used copy of whatever it is the Universities are using to teach Macro Economics (you should be able to find out the title on the school's web page).

Basic Economics is assuredly better.

Adam Smith's writing style is a nightmare. David Ricardo is easier for those in the science fields, and imo overall.

You might like some stuff by John Stuart Mill. He makes a good case for liberty and capitalism in both is works: "On Liberty" and "Utilitarianism." There are some other works of his on capitalism, which you can probably find on a Google Search of the two items.

Ricardo also points out a lot of the flaws in Smith's thinking.

Anything by Ayn Rand is good. "Atlas Shrugged" is by far the best.
