Well, my dad would consider himself on the left, allbeit the reformist centre-left, but I think he has a great disdain for Revolutionary activity - anything that would change the system completely. He's made the odd dispariging comment about people on benefit and muliticulturalism which I've argued with him about but I've always lost because he has way of turning things on their head.

I haven't had any trouble.
My family are cool with it, my grandad was a member of the communist party in armenia. My other grandad was a member of the communist party in england.
No one outside my family has said anything. Don't let anyone get you down about it.

Me and my mother disagree a whole lot on politics -- she's a social democrat and I'm a revolutionary-socialist. Most of her arguements are "well I lived through it and you don't know"-type stuff but generally we don't let politics get in the way. You shouldn't either.

Well, if that's the case, I can't see how I placed my respect in them at the first place, but that's all just rhetoric 'neway's... If I'd be the case, I'd off 'em, I 'ron't need'em...but I've had my suspect's person's I respect don't respect me fer'at ;)

P.S., people I really respect aren't officially apart of my relatives :P

My nan is socialist in her ideas and her upbringing in a conservative part of Ireland but with the fortune of having an open minded family who saw that they had fought for a free Ireland so they should have free ideas as well. There are many anecdotes but i wont bore you all lol.

Ive always had discussions with her about international and social matters. She has given good guidance and counsel.

My dad is open minded but i think he fears whta i get up to sometimes. Hes not exactly anti capitalist.

My mum is kind of conservative. I have many a debate with her. I always beat her in an argument but unfortunately she doesnt appreciate being defeated so is lodged with the idea that anything i say is a threat to her peace of mind and sense of authority.

My family are mainly centrist/centre-left (they are neither misogynistic, racist, homophobic or nationalistic, but they arent socialists) and none of them look down on communism and related leftist beliefs, but as they tend to be political apathetic, this may be more 'dont care' than 'dont like'.

I often do things and my grandpa exclaims all sorts of things as me, so I don't caare anymore. "Why is your hair red? Have you no self respect?! "

"Che Guevara? You're no fucking Cuban! You're MEXICAN. "
"I'm Cuban to grandpa, on my dad's side! AND HE ISN'T CUBAN! "

Actually Che may have had some Mexican on his mother's side. I'm not sure of that, but i think it's in Anderson's biography of Che somewhere.

Yeah, she has some, but he was saying Che was Cuban, while he was legally, he wasn't by birth or heirtage.

My mother has always told me to stick with the program, to prevent conflict,
but that brings conflict with my spirit, and if I can't respect my own thoughts
and spirit. Then give me a gun with a single bullit and I'll take care of it.
