as published today in the israeli daily newpaper Haaretz:

The Bush administration is forming a bill to allow the jailing, interrogation and punishing of people suspected in engaging in terrorist action, without giving them legal representation, to which they are entitled according to existing US laws. The Washington Post reports that according to judicial sources within the government and outside of it, the law will effect both American and foreign citizens.

According to the bill, it will be possible to detain suspects without a court junction, if they have been suspected as "enemy fighters". The police will be allowed to tap their phones and search their homes, all without the approval of a judge.

Human rights organizations have already passed critisism on the bill, and the US supreme court will have to decide if it is incompatible with the constitution.

i think this is an attempt to persecute arab citizens in the US. the police will be able to arrest people for no just reason, without the supreme court intereference. another attempt to make racism legal.
