Well, its true. Urive and the Colombian government are fascist-friendly. They are arranging peace talks with the right-wing paramillitaries to help them fight against the FARC, they claim to "stop the killing of innocent people and end terrorism". We could all see the irony in this as the paramillitaries not only are terrorists but they attack more civillians than the guerrila's do (and their DIRECT attacks on them) whereas the guerillas only intend to attack government facilities. Its probably their sick idea of "counter-terrorism", very hyopcritical. I bet Dubya must be amused since the paramillitaries are funded by the US government. "Counter-terrorism" my ass, they just want to dominate the fucking world.

Do you know how the FARC are holding out?
Last I read(Early this year) they were doing OK.

The FARC far from 'only intend to attack government facilities'
They employ incredibly brutal methods on innocent civilians as well, slaughtering villagers with suspected ties. They also draft into their army as well, they continue a drug trade which keeps them in buisness and murder anyone in the way of that. Along with this is the buisness of kinapping and extortion.
Any ideals they were fighting for they lost a long time ago.
The reason they're arranging peace talks with the paramilitaries is that theyve agreed to them. The last colombian president had arranged peace talks for quite a while, and even gave them quite a large enclave to arrange the peace talks.
These peace talks failed after the FARC hijacked several civilian airliners, and made a few assasinations.
While the paramilitaries are indeed worse, FARC are not good guys in any matter, and the colombian government has tried to have peace talks, but they failed.
