View Full Version : Plans for Tomorrow's School Day
Clarksist

It is 2:23 AM. I have school tomorrow.
I'm sitting at the computer, in my boxers, dry eyed at the computer screen trying to get a little fun before I have to be lined up, sorted by number, and pledge allegience to a banner representing everything I've grown to hate.
I have an idea.
1st period, I am going to write an impromptu manifesto of sorts. Moreso a guideline for how we will live our lives to get out of this reactionary and repressive system.
I will pass it on to my more free-thinking friends (stoners, metalheads, punks, etc.).
We will sign the note and then copy it and put it all over school.
Good idea?

yep, try getting a few like minded people and having regular discussions with them.
First show the need to have discussions, ie the fucked state of affairs in our world
then state how to solve these problems
then have discussions

Don't pledge allegiance. Just stand there. And if your school has a Christian Union, make a Communist or Anarchist union.

Or, better yet, sit on your ass and disrespect them. Your school is within the United States and you do not have to say shit. Well, yet, anyways.

Totally. If you disrepsect what these robots are pledging theor allegiance to, then don't say the pledge. If everyone stands, don't stand.

Just sit down and be quiet when they do their pledge to "oppression and slavery". Then if they ask you why you’re not doing the pledge, ask them why their doing the pledge, then when they reply because our country is so great, recite the history of black slavery in America.
Or if you want to be a real danger mouse run up and burn the flag and then sing the internationale.
Or when they do the pledge you recite the internationale and do the fist of solidarity.

Indeed, not reciting the pledge is necessary to withhold your dignity.
Whether you wish to sit down, or turn sideways, or burn the flag (not recommended), is up to you.
Good luck, anyway, you're probably at school right now! Hope it's working out for you.

Yeah, I did it!!!
I'll post my writing in Propaganda later. But guess what happened today in 2nd period?
I refused to stand to pledge alleigance. When I did so my teacher ran in and screamed, "Mr. Clark, you stand for the pledge in my class!!!" then she took me into the hall in front of the principle and told me that I disrespected all the men that died so I can have my freedom.

Hypocrisy = funny.
I said nothing as I was on the verge of laughing, and the teacher was about to shat a brick.

i had a similar experiance when i was younger and did this. the teacher brought me out in the hallway and started crying because her husband was in the military. and shes like you dont have to say it, all im asking is for you to stand. i thought it was pretty funny, then she called my parent,

Oh, you're quite wrong. I'm a senior in Indiana, and our wonderful state has made the pledge of allegiance ne recited every day, with a moment of silence at the end! I about laughed this morning...but I'll tell you, in a few weeks, I'll start getting quite pissed off at this wonderful new 'law' (of course, one can still opt to sit during the reciting of the pledge). My school has gone from a relatively decent, laid back school to a fascist hell hole in 3 short years!!

Congrats Clarkist, you did the right thing today. I could have predicted an outcome like the one you experienced, but it doesn't matter.
You also did the right thing by not saying anything, she was too emotional to listen anyway. Again congrats comrade.

Interesting stuff.
The point is people are going to be interested as to why you did this, and you have to be able to explain why properly, otherwise you will alienate yourself from the rest of your class, which is no good. So come up with a proper answer as to why you dont recite this shite, and maybe you could convince people.

In the UK we don't do the national anthem in school, I don't even no my countries national anthem so I suppose that’s good. I remember when I was in short trousers and we had to stand up for some bishop of some sort and I refused out right; although non of the teachers did anything about it.

You aren't required to say the pledge, just so you know but you do have to stand during it. It's a good time but I plan on saying the pledge like this,
I pledge allegiance to the flag of the USSR, and to the Republics for which it stands, one Nation under Father Stalin, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.

I heard about that new law. I'm happy I moved to Illinois just in time.

Yes, for fear of getting the treatment Clarksist reported, I stand for the pledge, face the ground, and recite nothing. No one notices. It's a hell of a lot better than going through all that bullshit Clarksist went through.

I agree with anomaly on this. Standing still, facing the ground and not speaking is the best answer.
It will avoid you being ostracized by other students, and all the hastle of dealing with ignorant folks who can't be talked with.
